The equilibrium reaction is A(g)+B(g)C(g)+D(g).

The expression for the equilibrium constant is Kc=[C][D][A][B].
[A]=(1x)2;[B]=(1x)2

[C]=(1+x)2;[D]=(1+x)2
Substitute values in the above expression:

14=[0.5+0.5x][0.5+0.5x][0.50.5x][0.50.5x].

x=0.33.
