The horizontal distance travelled by a bullet fired at 45 is 360m. If it is fired from a lorry moving in the direction of bullet with the uniform velocity 18kmh1 and with the same elevation, what is the horizontal distance travelled by the bullet? (Take g=10ms2).

The correct option is D 402.42m
Range = u2sin2θg=u2×sin900g=u2g=360
So, u=60m/s
With lorry,
Time period = 2u×sinθg=(2×60×(12)×110)=122s
Range = vxt=(60cosθ+5)t
= (602+5)122
Therefore, the horizontal distance travelled by the bullet =402.42m
