Solution

The correct option is C Melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH)
The pituitary gland is composed of adenohypophysis and neurohypophysis. Adenohypophysis consists of anterior lobe (pars distalis), pars tuberalis and intermediate lobe (pars intermedia). Neurohypophysis consists of posterior lobe, median eminence, and infundibular stalk. Vasopressin and oxytocin are produced by the hypothalamus but stored and released into the bloodstream via the posterior lobe of the pituitary.
Melanocyte-stimulating hormone is secreted by the intermediate lobe of pituitary under the regulation of melanocyte stimulating hormone-releasing hormone of the hypothalamus.
Luteinising hormone is secreted by anterior lobe of pituitary.
Therefore, the correct answer is option C.
