Solution

The correct option is D testosterone and estrogen
The Leydig cells of the testis produce a group of hormones called androgens, mainly testosterone. Testosterone is responsible for the secondary sexual characteristics in males. It stimulates muscular growth, growth of facial and axillary hair, aggressiveness, low pitch voice.

Estrogen, produced by the ovary, is responsible for the appearance of female secondary sexual characteristics and mammary gland development.

Thyroxine is secreted by the thyroid gland. It plays an important role in the regulation of the basal metabolic rate of the body.

LH (luteinizing hormone) and FSH (follicular stimulating hormone) are secreted by the anterior pituitary. They stimulate gonadal activity and are hence called gonadotropins.

GH (growth hormone) is responsible for growth of the body. It is secreted by the anterior pituitary.
