Hypotenuse of right triangle=25cm

Let us assume the other sides bexand x+5

Step 2

By Pythagoras Theorem:

252=x2+(x+5)2625=x2+x2+25+10x2x2+10x600=0

Taking2 as common, we get,

x2+5x300=0x2+20x15x300=0x(x+20)15(x+20)=0(x+20)(x15)=0x=-20,x=15

Butxcannot be negative

Therefore, one side=x=15cm

Other side=x+5=15+5=20cm

Hence, the other two sides are 15cm,20cm

So, the correct option is (C)
