Solution

Herbaceous plants are plants with very flexible stems. Woody plants include trees and shrubs. These are the plants present in the terrestrial ecosystem. They capture about 1 % solar energy and convert it into chemical energy through photosynthesis. In this process carbon dioxide and water are used in presence of sunlight to synthesize nutrients such carbohydrates in the form of glucose and release oxygen into the atmosphere.
