The income of two persons A and B are in ratio 8:7 And the ratio of their expenditures is 19:16. If their savings are rs2550 per month,find their monthly income.

let incomes be 8x, 7x respectively ...... let expenses be 19y, 16y respectively ....
given, saviings of both person is equal to 2550....
so, 8x - 19y = 7x - 16y
= x = 3y ..... (1)
now, substitute (1) in
8x - 19y = 2550
= 24y - 19y = 2550
= 5y = 2550
= y = 510
using (1), x = 3×510 = 1530.
so their monthly incomes are (1530×8) and (1530×7)
therefore, their incomes are Rs12,240 and Rs10,710
