Solution

The correct option is D Rs.1500
Let the expenses of A, B and C be Rs. 8x, Rs. 5x and Rs. 2x respectively. Given, 2x = 2000
x=Rs.1000
B's expenses =5×Rs.1000=Rs.5000,
A's expenses =Rs.8000
Given, B's saving =Rs.700
B's income =Rs.5000+Rs.700=Rs.5700
Given, A's income : B's income = 5 : 3
A's income5700=53
A's income =53×Rs.5700=Rs.9500
A's savings =Rs9500Rs.8000=Rs.1500
