The increasing demand for fossil fuels has caused harm to our environment. List its three ill effects. Suggests three measures to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels.

Effect of fossil fuel consumption on the environment:

  1. The burning of fossil fuels like petroleum and natural gas produces harmful polluting gases such as carbon dioxide carbon monoxide and Sulphur dioxide that result in it in air pollution.
  2. With the production of carbon dioxide by the use of automobiles the atmosphere of the earth is getting heated day by day because of global warming.
  3. Due to the use of fossil fuels the atmosphere of the earth is getting polluted and because of this there is a serious effect on the health of human beings and other animals.

Three measures to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels:

  1. The use of alternative fuels should be promoted such as organic diesel, organic petrol ethanol, and natural gas.
  2. The use of electric vehicles should be promoted in our society.
  3. Use of public transport should be promoted.
  4. High-efficiency vehicles should be introduced to reduce the use of fossil fuels.
