The coefficients $C_{1} and C_{2}$ in the Muskingum routing equation are 0.4 and 0.5 respectively. If outflow for the stream reach at $t_{1} = 6 h r$ is 10 cumecs, the outflow rate at $t_{2} = 24$ will be _____ cumecs.

The correct option is A 14
Given,
$C_{1} = 0.4, C_{2} = 0.5$

$I_{1} = 15 c u m e c s, I_{2} = 30 c u m e c s$

$Q_{1} = 10 c u m e c s, Q_{2} = ?$

$\Rightarrow C_{0} + C_{1} + C_{2} = 1$

$C_{0} = 1 - 0.4 - 0.5 = 0.1$

Now,
$Q_{2} = C_{0} I_{2} + C_{1} I_{1} + C_{2} Q_{1}$

$= (0.1 \times 30) + (0.4 \times 15) + (0.5 \times 10)$

$= 14 c u m e c s$
