The initial water level was 3 cm (without any weight). Comparing the rise in the water level using a 1 kg weight, what will be the water level if we put 4 kg weight inside the jar?

The correct option is C 15 cm
Level of water without any weight = 3cm
Rise in water level due to 1 kg weight = 6 cm - 3 cm = 3 cm
We know that higher the weight, higher will be the water level.
So, if we put 4 kg weight in the jar, the rise in water level becomes four times.
Rise in water level due to 4 kg weight = 4 x 3 cm = 12 cm
So, the water level with a 4 kg weight
= 3 cm + 12 cm
= 15 cm
