Given:

i=12 sin(100t)

E=12 sin(100t+π/3)

Here, the phase difference between the voltage and the current is, ϕ=π/3.

Now, average power,

Pavg=Ermsirms cosϕ

Pavg=E02i02 cosϕ

Pavg=1/22×1/22×cos(π/3)=18 W

Now, the total work done in a cycle is,

W=PavgT=Pavg×2πω=18×2π100=7.85×103 J=7.85 mJ
