Solution

The correct option is D Glyceraldehyde -3- phosphate and Dihydroxyacetone phosphate
Fructose 1,6-bisphosphate (6C) splits into two 3C sugars viz, G-3-P (Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate) and DHAP (dihydroxyacetone - 3 - phosphate). Both these trioses, that is 3 Carbon sugars, that are interconvertible in a reaction catalyzed by the enzyme - triose phosphate isomerase.
Glucose-6-phosphate and fructose-6-phosphate are also interconvertible sugars, but they are hexoses, that is, they are 6 Carbon sugars.
The rest of the molecules mentioned here, 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA) and 2-phophoglycerate (2-PGA) are also interconvertible 3 carbon molecules in glycolysis, but they are not sugars.
PEP or phosphoenolpyruvate is a 3 Carbon molecule that forms pyruvate by phosphorylation of ADP to ATP. This is not a reversible reaction.
