Internal radius =r=242cm=12cm
External radius R=252cm
Surface area of the hollow hemispherical vessel to be painted = Curved surface area of external hemisphere + C
urved surface area of internal hemisphere + Area of the top
=2πR2+2πr2+(πR2πr2)=3πR2+πr2=3×227×(252)2+227×(12)2=227[3×156.25+144]=1925.78cm2
Given, cost of painting 1cm2 surface =Rs.0.05
Therefore,
cost of painting 1925.78cm2 surface =1925.78×Rs.0.05=Rs.96.28
