Given: Momentum, p=30 kgms1, m=0.5 kg

Let v be the velocity of the body.

We know kinetic energy, K.E=12mv2 and momentum, p=mvv=pm

So by substituting the value of v in the expression of K.E,

K.E=12 m × (pm)2 =p22m

K.E=p22m =3022×0.5 =900 J.
