The correct option is A Analogous structures
Polytene puffs are found in polytene chromosomes. In different developmental stages different dark bands show swellings called as puffs or Balbiani rings or bulbs. In the region of a puff or bulb, the chromonemata develop lateral loops where DNA becomes active and produces copies of RNA. After the activity, puffs are withdrawn. Lampbrush chromosomes occur in oocytes. Loops possess a number of copies of the same gene and are meant for rapid transcription and production of materials like yolk. Since both puff in polytene chromosomes and loops in lampbrush chromosome are involved in active transcription, they are analogous to each other.
