The large intestine has three parts namely:
caecum, colon, rectum
The large intestine has three parts: the ceacum, the colon and the rectum. The caecum is a small blind pouch situated at the junction of the small and the large intestine. The colon passes up the abdomen on the right, crosses to the left just below the stomach and down on the left side. The rectum is the last part which opens at the anus.
