Solution

Given: Side of cube =10.5 cm

Diameter of the largest sphere which can be carved out of a cube = Side of cube =10.5 cm

Radius of the sphere r=10.52 cm=5.25 cm

Volume of the sphere =43πr3

=43×227×(5.25)3

=43×227×5.25×5.25×5.25

=4×22×1.75×0.75×5.25

=606.375 cm3

Hence, volume of the sphere is 606.375 cm3.
