The correct option is A Both A and B When light rays passed from the rarer medium of air to that of the thick glass slab then the refraction of light will occur and the it will deviate from it's usual way of movement and shift toward the line normal to the glass slab and when it leaves the slab it will deviate away from the line normal to that of the glass surface and thus we get the lateral shift in the light ray. Lateral shift =tcosrsin(i−r)where t is the thickness of the material and all other are having standard notation.
