The law of heating is first stated by Joule.
According to this law, "When a current I passes through a conductor of resistance R for time t, then the heat developed in the conductor is equal to the product of the square of the current, the resistance and time.
Mathematically Joule's law can be written as, $H = I^{2} R t$ where I is current in Amperes and R is the resistance in Ohms.
Hence, the laws of heating are given by Joule.
