Let's take an example.
Some of the multiples of 2 are:
2×1=2
2×2=4
2×3=6
2×4=8
2×5=10

Some of the multiples of 5 are:
5×1=5
5×2=10
5×3=15

The smallest common multiple of 2 and 5 is 10.

The least common multiple of two numbers is the smallest number that can be divided evenly by both the given numbers.
