Ventricles:

  1. The lower chambers of the heart are known as ventricles.
  2. The right ventricle pumps the deoxygenated blood to the lungs.
  3. The right ventricle pumps the blood into the largest artery- the aorta.
  4. The blood is pumped with higher pressure into the aorta.
  5. To withstand the higher pressure of blood, left ventricle of the heart has thicker walls than the right ventricles.
