1) What is the difference between total surface area and curved surface area ?
2) If a cube of side measuring 100cm is placed inside the cuboid, what is amount of void space in the cuboid?

1) Difference
$=2(lb+bh+lh)-2h(l+b)$

$=2lb=2\times 2\times 5=20m^2$


2) Amount of void space
= Volume of cuboid - volume of cube

$=lbh-{side}^3$

$=2\times 5\times 4-1^3$

$=39m^3$
