Breadth of room $(b) = 4 m$
Height of room $(h) = 3 m$

Four walls and ceiling of room need to be whitewashed.

Area to be whitewashed $=$ Area of cuboid $-$ Area of base

Therefore,
Area to be whitewashed
$= 2 (l b + b h + h l) - l b = 2 (5 \times 4 + 4 \times 3 + 3 \times 5) - 5 \times 4 = 2 (20 + 12 + 15) - 20 = 74 m^{2}$

Cost of white washing per $m^{2} = R s . 7.5$

Cost of white washing per $m^{2} = R s . 7.5 \times 74 = R s . 555$
