The length, breadth and thickness of a rectangular sheet of metal are \(4.234~m ,1.005~m \text{ and}~2.01~cm\) respectively. Give the area and volume of the sheet to correct significant figures.

Given :\(l=4.234~m,b=1.005~m~d=2.01~cm\)
Formula: Surface area of the sheet \(=2(lb+bd+dl),\text{where}~l=\text{lenght},b=\text{breadth}~d=\text{thickness}\).
\(=2(4.324\times 1.005+1.005\times 0.0201+0.0201\times 4.324)\)
\(=2(4.25517+0.02620+0.08510)\)
\(=2(4.360)\)
\(=8.72m^2\)
Formula: Volume of the sheet =\(l\times b\times d,\text{where}~l=\text{lenght},b=\text{breadth}~d=\text{thickness}\).
\(=4.234\times 1.005\times 0.0201\)
\(=0.855 m^3\).
