Question

The length, breath and height of a wall are 5m,30cm and 3m. How many bricks willbe needed to build of the wall. The dimensions of one brick are 20cm×10cm×7.5cm.

GivenThe length of wall =5m
=5×100=500cm
breadth =30cm
height =3m
=3×1000=300cm3
The volume of the wall = length × breadth × height
=500×30×300cm3
For a brick =20cm
breadth =10cm
and height =7.5cm
Volume of one brick =×b×h
=20×10×7.5cm3
Number of bricks needed
= Volume of wall Volume of one brick
=500×30×30020×10×7.5=3000
Hence, 3000 bricks are needed.
