The length of a chain used as the boundary of a semicircular park = 108 cm
i.e. circumference of a semicircular park = 108 cm
Let the radius of semicircular park =r
Which implies,
πr+2r=108
(227+2)r=108
(22+147)r=108
367r=108
r=108×736=21 cm
Now,
Area of a semicircular park = 12πr2=12×227×21×21=12×1386=693.
Therefore, Area of the park is 693 m2.
