The correct option is C 12cm2
Let the width of the rectangle is x cm
Then length of the rectangle =x+1 cm (given length of rectangle is 1 cm more then width
So perimeter of rectangle =2(length+width)=2(x+1+x)=2(2x+1)
But perimeter = 14 cm (Given)
2(2x+1)=142x+1=72x=71x=3
Then wigth =3 cm and length=3+1=4 cm
areaofrectangle=length×wigth=4×3=12cm2
