Let the rectangle's height be x inches.
Accordingly, the rectangle's length would be x+3 inches.

We know: The perimeter of a rectangle is the total length of all the sides of the rectangle.
Here, perimeter of the rectangle is x+x+3+x+x+3=4x+6
Given that the perimeter of the rectangle is 14 inches.
4x+6=14
Step 1: Subtract 6 from both the sides of the equation
