The correct option is E 12
We know perimeter of a rectangle is 2( length + width)
Let the width be x, so length will be x+4
As per given problem,
2(4+x+x)=16
2(4+2x)=16
4+2x=8
2x=4
x=2
So length is 4+2=6
width is 2
Area will be = length × width
=6×2=12
