Solution

Answer :

Let breadth of rectangle = x
And
As given : The length of a rectangle is three times its breadth , So
Length of rectangle = 3x
And
Perimeter of rectangle = 80 m

We know Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( Length + Breadth )
So,

2 ( 3x + x ) = 80

2 ( 4x ) = 80

8x = 80

x = 10
So,
1 ) Breadth of rectangle = x = 10 m
And
Length of rectangle = 3x = 3 ( 10 ) = 30 m ( Ans )

2 ) We know Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth
So,
Area of rectangle = 30 ×10 = 300 m2 ( Ans )
