Question

The length of a rectangle is three times its breadth if the area of the rectangle is 1875 sq.cm, find its perimeter. Answer should be 200 cm.

Let the breadth be x cm
Therefore length =3x
Area=1875cm sq
According to the question,
3x×x=1875
x^2=1875/3
x^2=625
x=25cm
Now, length =25×3=75cm
Breadth =25
Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)=2(25+75)
2(100) =200cm.ans
