$\therefore$ Length of the rectangle = 2x cm

Perimeter of the rectangle

= 2 [Length + Width]

= 2 [2x+x]

= 2 $\times$3x

= 6x cm

Given perimeter = 54 cm

$\therefore$ 6x = 54

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{54}{6}$

$\Rightarrow x=9$

$\therefore \text{Length}=2x=2\times 9=18cm$
