Length of the rectangular plate is L=10.0 cm± 0.1 cm
Width of the plate B=1.00 cm±0.01 cm
So, error in length ΔL=0.1 cm
Error in width ΔB=0.01 cm
Area of the plate A=L×B=10×1=10 cm2
Maximum error in area ΔA=±(ΔLL+ΔBB)×A
ΔA=±(0.110+0.011)×10=± 0.2 cm2
