We know that, for the relaxed eye, the final image is formed at infinity.

So, |ue|=|fe|

Length of the compound microscope,

L=|vo|+|ue|=|vo|+|fe|

18=|vo|+4

|vo|=14 cm

m=vo|uo|(Dfe)

28=14|uo|(254)
