Solution

Lengths of the parallel sides of the trapezium are 8.7 cm and 5.3 cm.
Perpendicular distance between these sides = Height = 4.5 cm
Area of a trapezium = 12 (Sum of lengths of parallel sides) × (Height)
= 12 × (8.7 + 5.3) cm × 4.5 cm
= 31.5 sq cm
