Given : Two sides of triangle are $6\mathrm{cm}\text{and}10\mathrm{cm}$

We know that the length of the third side is always greater than the difference of the other two sides and

We also know that the length of the third side must be less than the sum of the other two sides.

Difference of the two sides$=10\mathrm{cm}-6\mathrm{cm}=4\mathrm{cm}.$

And sum of the two sides $=10\mathrm{cm}+6\mathrm{cm}=16\mathrm{cm}.$

Hence, the length of the third side must be greater than $4\mathrm{cm}$ and less than $16\mathrm{cm}$.
