Elongation =8 mm Weighting =5kg

Let r be radius and l be length. Δl=(5g)×1(πr2)×Y is the formula 8×103=(5g)L(πr2)×Y(1)

Given radius is doubled keeping all parameters same. Now new elongation e:e=(5g)×L(π(2r)2)×y(2)

Now (1) /(2)

8×103e=5glπx24×4πr2Y5glE=2 mm
