Solution

The correct option is D 103 cm2
Area of the parallelogram ABCD
=2×(Area of ΔABC)
In ΔABC, AB = 5cm, BC = 3.5 cm and AC = 6.5 cm.
So its perimeter s=5+3.5+6.52=7.5 cm
Area of ΔABC (By Heron’s formula)
=s(sa)(sb)(sc)
=7.5×(7.55)×(7.53.5)×(7.56.5) sq.cm
=7.5×2.5×4×1 sq.cm=75 sq.cm
=53 sq.cm
=2×53 sq.cm
Area of parallelogram
=2×53 sq.cm=103 sq.cm
