The correct option is A 3 cm

The area of a square is given by side × side

Therefore Side × side = 9

Side = 3 cm ( since we have 3 × 3 = 9; When we look at the factors of 16 ,

9 = 9 × 1

9 = 3 × 3 ; since the sides have to be equal , it has to be 5 × 5 = 25)

The length of the side of the square = 3 cm
