Let the edges of the block be ar,a,ar
Therefore, ar.a.ar=216
a3=216
a=6
And 2[ar+a.ar+ar.ar]=252
2a2[1r+r+1]=252
1r+r+1=2522×6×6=72
r+1r=52
r=2
Thus shortest edge is ar=62=3 cm.
