Leydig cells (Interstitial cells) are present in the connective tissue lying between seminiferous tubules. The cells secrete oestradiol-steroid androgens, eg. testosterone. Androgens stimulate male characters, influence male sex behaviours (libido) and regulate the development, maturation and functions of male accessory sex organs.
