The correct option is C At both (2,3) and (4,12)
Given f(x) is 2y=3x+12y=3x+122......(1)
and g(x) is 4y=3x2y=3x24.......(2)
By equating equ(1) and equ(2) we get
4(3x+12)=2(3x2) [dividing by 2 on both sides]
2(3x+12)=3x2
6x+24=3x2
3x26x24=0
dividing through out by 3 we get
x22x8=0.
On factorising we get (x4)(x+2) or x=4,2;hence y=3,12 respectively.
The points of intersection are (2,3) and (4,12).
