Mohit use $450kWh$ in March so the amount he paid is
$\Rightarrow 400\times 1.5+50\times 0.8$
$\Rightarrow 600.0+40.0\Rightarrow 640$
Tax $=12\%$ of $640=\frac{12}{100}\times 640=76.8$
Hence total amount he pays $=640+76.8=$ Rs. $716.8$
