P is a point which divides line joining points (5,0) and (10cosθ,10sinθ) in the ratio 2:3
Let P=(h,k)
h=2×10cosθ+3×55
h=4cosθ+3
cosθ=(h34)
Also, k=3×0+2×10sinθ5
k=4sinθ
sinθ=k4
(h34)2+(k4)2=1
(h3)2+k2=42
(x3)2+y2=42 is the required locus of P which is the equation of a circle.
