The slope of the line passing through the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is:
m=y2y1x2x1
Therefore, the slope of the line passing through the points (1,2) and (5,10) is:
m=10251=84=2
Here, the line is perpendicular to l, therefore, the slope of l is the negative reciprocal of 2, that is 12.
Equation of line with slope m and a point (x1,y1) is yy1=m(xx1),
