Solution

The correct option is B

1:2 internally

Explanation for correct option:

Step-1 Finding intersection point:

Equation of line formed by the points (x1,y2) and (x2,y2) is (y-y1)=(y2-y1)(x2-x1)(x-x1)

Equation of line formed by the points (-1,1) and (5,7) is y-1=7-15+1x+1

(y-1)=66(x+1)(y-1)=(x+1)y=x+2x-y=-2......(1)

Adding x-y=-2 and x+y=4

2x=2x=1

Putting value od x in equation (1)

1-y=-2-y=-2-1y=3

Step-2 Finding the ratio:

Given two equation intersect at (1,3)

Let (-1,1) be (x1,y1) , (5,7) be (x2,y2) and (1,3) be (x,y)

Let (1,3) bisect (-1,1) and (5,7) in ratio 1:k

(x,y)=1×x2+k×x11+k,1×y2+k×y11+k(1,3)=1×(5)+k×(-1)k+1,1×7+k×1k+1k+1=5-k,3k+3=7+k2k=4k=2

Hence,option B is correct.
