$x = 4$ is a line parallel to $y$ -axis at a distance of 4 units from it, and $x = 3$ is a line parallel to $y$ -axis at a distance of 3 units from it.

We see that these lines are both parallel to $y$ -axis and hence parallel to each other.

Hence the given statement is false.
