The list below gives the daily wages earned by 30 labourers in the Anantapuri village. Prepare a frequency table of these.

(ii) How many get 220 rupees a day?

(iii) How many get more than 150 rupees a day?

(iv) How many get the least amount of wages?

The frequency table of the given data can be made as follows:

(i)

Frequency table shows that the maximum frequency 7 is for daily wage of Rs.125.

Thus, the daily wages of most of the labourers is Rs.125.

(ii)

Frequency table shows that the frequency for daily wage of Rs.220 is 3.

Thus, 3 labourers get Rs.220 a day.

(iii)

Frequency table shows that there are 11 (= 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1) labourers who get more than Rs.150 a day.

(iv)

Frequency table shows that the least daily wage is Rs.110, which 2 labourers get.

Thus, 2 labourers get the least amount of wages.

(v)

In order to draw the bar graph of the given data, we represent the number of labourers on the x-axis and daily wage on the y-axis with the appropriate scale.
