Solution

The correct option is B Rs. 438.67
Energy consumed in a day by:
(a) Computer
E1=100×10.5
E1=1050 Wh=1.05 kWh
(b) Mixer Grinder
E2=450×2.15
E2=967.5 Wh=0.9675 kWh
(c) Ceiling Fan
E3=60×9.5
E3=570 Wh=0.57 kWh
(d) Air conditioner
E4=1600×0.75
E4=1200 Wh=1.2 kWh
(e) 4 CFL bulbs
E5=4×15×16
E5=960 Wh=0.96 kWh

Total energy consumed in a day:
E=E1+E2+E3+E4+E5
E=1.05+0.9675+0.57+1.2+0.96
E=4.7475 kWh

Total energy consumed in a month:
E=30×4.7475=142.425 kWh
E=142.425 units

Cost per unit, Cu=Rs. 3.08
Hence, the amount to be paid for the month
C=ECu==142.425×3.08
C=Rs. 438.669
